Christmas Cookies | How to Decorate

Let’s learn how to decorate the perfect Christmas cookies! We’ll use my No-Spread Sugar Cookie Recipe (that’s a family Secret!) and my Buttercream Frosting Recipe with my favorite Gel Food coloring to dye the frosting wonderful colors! So, let’s get to decorating!

Christmas Tree Cookies

Use Christmas tree cookie cutter, then use brown frosting for stump of tree and green frosting for tree itself.

Use green sanding sugar to coat the frosting. Put a yellow candy star on top of the tree.

Optional: create tinsel with white and/or yellow writing gels and place candy balls as ornaments throughout the tree. You can also sprinkle a second time with green sanding sugar.

Star (of Bethlehem) Cookies

Use star cookie cutter, then use yellow frosting then add yellow sanding sugar to the top.

Snowflake Cookies

Use snowflake cookie cutter, then use white frosting then add white sanding sugar to the top. You can just use cane sugar for this.

Please Note: these cookies should not be considered stackable and should be stored and served in a single level.

How Does It Taste

These are the best sugar cookies I’ve ever had and I know your friends and family will absolutely rave about them! I hope you love these as much as I do!

Easily use my no-spread sugar cookie recipe for the cookies and my buttercream frosting recipe for the frosting with the gel food dye I recommend (or buy the frosting store bought if the colors are in season). Both of my recipes are in the Holiday "Christmas" section! Enjoy!
