Halloween Cupcakes in Under 5 Minutes?!
Can you really decorate these Halloween Cupcakes in under 5 minutes? Yes!
Decorate the easiest Halloween cupcakes with me. And we’ll do it in under five minutes with this semi-homemade (semi- store bought) Halloween dessert! I’m Allison with Simple Fantastic Kitchen. Welcome to my tiny kitchen where I make big dishes.
Halloween Cupcakes | How to Decorate
We are going to start with a pack of six store bought cupcakes. Take the label off. No one needs to know you did not bake these yourself.
Try to find cupcakes with some chocolate frosting on top, as this will be the best way to show off our cupcake toppers. It’s also going to be the best tasting cupcake, in my opinion. As a matter of fact, if you can get chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting, do that. It will all make sense in just a minute.
Then we are going to buy some fun Halloween themed Peeps. They currently have four different Halloween options. They have Ghosts, Monsters, Pumpkins, and Skulls, I am choosing the Ghosts and Monsters today. I have 6 cupcakes and 6 total peeps, so this works out perfectly.
The cupcakes will be refrigerated, so make sure you get them down to room temperature before we do the next step.
Open up the Peeps, then carefully separate them from each other. The Peeps are always slightly perforated so they are ready to be cleanly and easily separated.
Once the cupcakes are down to room temperature, the frosting will be malleable enough to position the Peeps on top. So, we’re going to alternate between monsters and ghosts on each cupcake, making it visually appealing, pushing the Peeps into the now malleable cupcake frosting. This will hold them in place and make the Peeps an official part of the cupcake.
By the way, you could also do Monsters on one row and ghosts on the other, if that’s what you visually prefer. I just like the look of mixing them up a bit.
This Peeps Chocolate Halloween Cupcake is a little bit like a rocky road flavor, with marshmallows and chocolate. And that’s why I wanted you to get an all chocolate cupcake. So if you love rocky road, you will love these cupcakes! And when you get store bought cupcakes, you even have a carrying case for them courtesy of the grocery store.
And now, you have the cutest, easiest, fastest Halloween dessert that you can bring to your Halloween party, and your friends and family will rave about this.
Halloween Cupcakes | How Do They Taste?
Okay, these are absolutely delicious! I am a huge fan of rocky road ice cream, so to me, these are perfection! And even though it’s a tall cupcake, you can eat it both the peep and the cupcake in one mouthful, getting a taste of both in each bite. All in all, I’m so happy with how these semi homemade, semi store bought Halloween cupcakes turned out!
I’m going to leave links to these Halloween Peeps I used today as well as the other ones that I didn’t use in case you want to check them out:
