Ingredients
- Buttercream Frosting green
- Buttercream Frosting white
- Edible writing gel green
- AmeriColor Gel Food Coloring Kit Recommended food coloring for homemade frosting
- Sparkling / Sanding Sugar green
- Sparkling / Sanding Sugar pink
- Hersheys Kisses optional for decorating the empty spaces on the platter
Instructions
- No. 21 & No 3 Tip with Green Frosting. Use store bought white and green frosting or dye homemade frosting. Use the large round and shamrock cookie cutters to bake the cookies from the recipe above. NOTE: These cookies should not be considered stackable.
- LUCKY COOKIES: Use white frosting to frost the cookies. Be sure to spread the frosting as evenly as possible and clean up the edges with the icing spatula. Use Tip No 3 with Green Frosting (or green writing gel). In center of cookie, write "Lucky". Then change to No 21 tip and do a dot motion over and over again around the rim of the cookie with green frosting. Allow to cure 10-15 minutes.
- SHAMROCK COOKIES: Use green frosting to frost the cookies. Be sure to spread the frosting as evenly as possible and clean up the edges with the icing spatula. On a plate, sprinkle green sugar all over the cookies, then gently turn the cookie on its side and tap the plate, getting most of the excess sugar off.

Notes
NOTE: Though the frosting and writing gel will harden a bit, these will not be stackable cookies. Best to keep them in one layer at all times.
Easily use my no-spread sugar cookie recipe for the cookies and my buttercream frosting recipe for the frosting with the gel food dye I recommend (or buy the frosting store bought if the colors are in season). Both of my recipes are in the Holiday "Halloween" section! Enjoy!
