- Piping Bags
- No 3 tip optional in place of white writing gel
- icing spatula
Ingredients
- Buttercream or Chocolate Frosting brown
- Buttercream Frosting white
- Buttercream Frosting green
- Edible writing gel white
- AmeriColor Gel Food Coloring Kit Recommended food coloring for homemade frosting
Instructions
- No. 47 Tip with White Frosting. No 233 Tip with Green Frosting. White Writing Gel. Optional: No 3 tip with White Frosting in place of white writing gel. Use store bought chocolate, green and white frostings. Use the large round and the football cookie cutters to bake the cookies from the recipe above. NOTE: These cookies should not be considered stackable.
- 50 YARD LINE COOKIES: Use green frosting to frost the cookies. Be sure to spread the frosting as evenly as possible and clean up the edges with the icing spatula. Use Tip No 233 with Green Frosting. Add "grass" thoroughly covering the cookie. Allow to cure 10-15 minutes. Use tip No 47 with White Frosting, using the flat side facing up (teeth side facing down). Make a line down the center of the cookie. Use white writing gel (or No 3 tip with white frosting) to apply two evenly spaced short lines at the top and bottom of the cookie to the right and left of the center line and in the center, draw a "5" to the left of the center line and a "0" to the right.
- FOOTBALL COOKIES: Use either the pre-made chocolate frosting to frost the cookies or the homemade buttercream (that you've dyed brown). Be sure to spread the frosting as evenly as possible and clean up the edges with the icing spatula. Use the white writing gel to draw on the stitching: near the center top of the cookie, draw a curved line with the ends turning down. Put in 5 stiches vertically that correspond to the cookies "bumps". Then add curved lines on the left and right of the cookie that look like this: left ) right (
- TOUCHDOWN COOKIES: Use either the pre-made chocolate frosting to frost the cookies or the homemade buttercream (that you've dyed brown). Be sure to spread the frosting as evenly as possible and clean up the edges with the icing spatula. In the center of the cookie, use white writing gel to write "Touch" and then "Down!" directly below it.

Notes
NOTE: Though the frosting and writing gel will harden a bit, these will not be stackable cookies. Best to keep them in one layer at all times.
Easily use my no-spread sugar cookie recipe for the cookies and my buttercream frosting recipe for the frosting with the gel food dye I recommend (or buy the frosting store bought if the colors are in season). Both of my recipes are in the Holiday "Halloween" section! Enjoy!
