World’s Largest Truck Stop has a Chiropractor??

The world’s largest truck stop is so big, it even has a chiropractor (and so much more)! You’ll want to read on until the end to find out the one amenity offered at Iowa 80 that you won’t believe!

As you drive Interstate 80, billboards start telling you you’re getting close.

Iowa 80 | Overview

Iowa 80 truck stop is located in Walcott, Iowa. It’s just off of Interstate 80, which is the second longest interstate in the US, running 2900 miles from Teaneck, New Jersey to San Francisco, California.

Iowa 80 was established in 1964 and is like a small city. It sits on 220 acres, receives about 5,000 visitors a day, and has 450 employees. The main building is 67,000 square feet.

It also boasts a separate trucking museum, filled with vintage trucks and information, including a history of women truckers.

Parking is available for 900 trucks or RVs. It has 15 diesel fuel pumps, and plenty of parking and gas options for tourists.

It’s open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In fact, it’s never been closed since it opened in 1964.

Iowa 80 | The Main Building

Inside the main building, you can find everything under the sun. It’s a convenience store, a gift store, and so much more.

You can find everything from fun novelty T-shirts with slogans like “Who Let the Hogs Out?” with a fun drawings of hogs, to everything Corn themed. In fact, the T-shirts available for purchase is so extensive, I only gave a sampling in the video above. There’s also infant, toddler and children’s sized T-shirts and clothing as well.

Speaking of children, there is a huge toy and game section where you will be sure to find items to entertain your children on your road trip. There’s also crossword, sudoku and puzzle books to entertain adults as well. 

There’s an extensive Minnetonka footwear section, where you can find a comfy pair of shoes to make your feet feel fantastic on your drive. 

And there’s a cowboy boot, hat and belt section, if that’s more your bag. Basically, there’s something for everyone.

There’s also comfy clothes, novelty items… there’s just so much, it’s almost hard to detail it all. It truly has to be seen to be believed. In the convenience store section, they have CPAP supplies (including distilled water), stationary, toiletries and pretty much everything you might need on a road trip. 

Iowa 80 | Food

Then there’s the food. In the convenience store section, you have so many options. Candy, chips, cheeses, jerky, meats, almost any kind of cold soda you could think of. And desserts as well.

They also have a pet food section.

Then there are seven restaurant choices, including a full service restaurant called Iowa 80 Kitchen that seats over 300 people, is open 24 hours a day, and includes a buffet as well as a full food and dessert menu.

There’s also a food court that contains a Wendy’s, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Starbucks, Dairy Queen, and Orange Julius. 

I had a mango pineapple smoothie from Orange Julius. We were there on a really hot day, and it was just the perfect drink. It was delicious, refreshing, and it really hit the spot! 

Iowa 80 | Amenites

But I think the wildest thing about the world’s largest truck stop is just how many amenities it has.

There’s a place you can wash your dog (Dog-O-Mat), a dog park, a truck wash and truck service station.

There’s a laundry center, a library, a TV room, private showers, a workout room, massage chairs, a barber shop, ministry services, EV charging stations, a chiropractor, a movie theater, and the one thing you won’t believe…

Iowa 80 even has a Dentist! How cool is that?
