Tropical Smoothie | Whole Fruit & Greek Yogurt

Let’s make a delicious, nutritious  whole fruit tropical smoothie recipe.

Tropical-Smoothie-Whole-Fruit

You can make this recipe with a high-powered blender, but today I’m using my KitchenAid Hand Blender and Accessories Kit.

I recently did a review of the entire KitchenAid Hand Blender and Accessories Kit, which I will link here in case you want to check it out: KitchenAid Hand Blender & Accessories Kit Review.

First, we will use our blender pitcher, which comes with this kit, putting our ingredients into this. And the really nice thing about this is it’s also a measuring cup. So just measure out into that. First, we’re going to add 1 cup of Greek yogurt, half a cup of almond milk, and some frozen whole fruit.

I’m using a tropical blend today, but you can buy the frozen fruit separately and add it in. I’m using frozen mangos, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, and some pineapple. We’re going to add in about a cup and a half to two cups total of fruit.

I don’t know if any of you do this out there, but I just roll up the bag and then I just put a rubber band around it and it stays perfectly. And then I put it back in the freezer.

Now we add in one teaspoon of vanilla extract and about one teaspoon of honey.

Now attach the splash guard portion of the lid to the blender and insert the hand blender into the pitcher. You’re just kind of going to push it down as best as you can. And you’re not going to be able to go all the way down because there’s a lot of frozen fruit in the way. So, you’re gonna kind of push your way down once you start pressing the variable speed controller lightly at first and then increase speed to full power.

Let’s start blending. So, as I blend, I’m just pushing down until we get to the bottom. Then we pull up and down. The whole process only takes a minute or two.

What is amazing is that was actually some really thick pineapple and it just pulverized it. So, that is incredible.

Now, pull the splash guard up. The smoothie is really nice and thick. It’s almost like a milkshake. Well, it’s like the healthiest milkshake you could ever have!

And if this is too thick for you, just add some more almond milk and blend for another 30 seconds or so. That will thin it out.

Now pour it into 2 glasses.

It totally pulverized all the frozen fruit, making a whole fruit smoothie with all the nutrients and fibers still intact.

Tropical Smoothie | How Does It Taste?

It looks absolutely delicious. But how does it taste? It’s so delicious. It’s healthy. It’s sweet, but not too sweet. The honey and the pineapple sweeten it just enough. It is so delicious and so refreshing. That really hits the spot.

I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do!
