3 Ingredient Homemade Whipped Cream 

You have to try this Deliciously Simple 3 Ingredient Homemade Whipped Cream. It’s so easy to make and wholesome to taste. And it takes under 5 minutes to make!

Equipment

You can always make this recipe with a stand mixer or whisk by hand, but today we’re going to be using a really fun device. It’s the KitchenAid Hand Blender and Accessories Kit, and I’ll be using the whisk attachment. Recipe

First, we are going to pour our ingredients into the blender pitcher, which comes with the kit. Pour one cup of heavy whipping cream. Add 1 tbsp of powdered sugar and half a teaspoon of vanilla extract.

Now, put the splash guard portion of the blender pitcher lid in place. We’re going to insert the whisk into the whisk adapter until it locks into place. This is super easy. Then insert this whisk accessory into the motor body and twist to lock until it clicks. So easy.

Now, put the whisk attachment in the bottom of the pitcher.  Then, press the variable speed controller and start at a low speed, gradually increasing to full power.

Hold the whisk in place with a little bit of stirring and some upward strokes until the whipped cream forms stiff peaks. This should take less than a minute.

This whole process is so fast. And the results are pretty incredible. Not drippy, perfectly stiff peaks. It’s perfect.

Premium Presentation

Now, you can just dollop the whipped cream directly onto your food, but for premium presentation, put it into a piping bag.

Use a star tip and pipe it directly onto whatever you would like. I am using a 1M tip and a disposable piping bag. And I’m also using a coupler. The inside part of the coupler fits inside the piping bag. Then you put your 1M tip right on top of that. And then you put your top bit of your coupler and screw it into place. That seals and keeps your tip in place. And then you can change your tip out when you feel like it.

So now you just tip the pastry big upside down in a large cup. Pull the edges of the piping bag over the rim of the glass. And you start putting your whipped cream inside of the piping bag. And you can just push the whipped cream down a little bit.

And now when you get to this point, you can pull the bag up. You can kind of push the whipped cream down some more. It might get just a little messy, but that’s part of the fun.

It’s nice to have something at the top to hold it in place so that there’s no blowouts or anything. You can just put a rubber band around the top to hold it in place.

Now, pipe the whipped cream onto your favorite dessert, pancakes, fruit, beverage… anything you would like! You can also just pipe it into a bowl or ramekin for an ice cream sundae station or just to dip your fruit into. 

By the way, you can keep it in the piping bag for reuse. Just put the piping bag in a sealed ziplock bag. Then you can use it whenever you would like, and it should keep well for at least 3 days.

How Does It Taste?

This homemade whipped cream looks absolutely delicious. But how does it taste? It is so good. It’s perfect. It’s refreshing. It tastes homemade. It tastes homespun. It is not too sweet. And it pairs perfectly with the sweetness of a strawberry or a delicious Brioche French Toast Recipe.

This is perfect whipped cream. Sometimes store bought whipped cream in a can, can taste a little chemical. This doesn’t taste chemical at all. Everything just tastes almost like it came fresh out of a dairy. So wholesome.

It’s really not too sweet. You’ll do it to taste. If you like it sweeter, add a little more powdered sugar. But to me, powdered sugar can sometimes get like sickeningly sweet. This is like a touch of sweetness, and it is perfect. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do!

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Pour all ingredients into the blender pitcher. Start blending on low, working up to full power for about 1 minute. You will know when it's down when it stops being easy to blend (because it has formed stiff peaks).
  • Dollop onto the dessert, fruit, pancake or beverage of your choice and enjoy!

Notes

Note: for premium presentation, you can add the whipped cream into a pastry bag and pipe it out. You can also put the pastry bag into an airtight container or ziplock bag, store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, and pipe this topping onto whatever you like, whenever you'd like.
